Dinner D'Hoteliers The Rangeela Night ^^



Assalamualaikum pembaca setia,

Haih, what a busy bee week. Actually dah banyak event berlaku sepanjang 2 minggu ni but I really don’t have time to write a single post about ‘em.

So today myra nak cite about Dinner D’Hoteliers yang berlangsung pada 31 August 2012 , iaitu sehari selepas myra jadi COD pada previous post. Lemme tell a bit story about Dinner D’Hoteliers ni. Dah jadi tradisi to setiap batch part 3 akan ditugaskan utk masak for annual dinner Fakulti Pengurusan Hotel & Pelancongan.

This semester its our turn batch Mei 2012 utk masak dinner. It’s very exciting because we are part of the dinner which is at the back of the house. Mise-en-place (penyiapan bahan mentah sebelum masak) bermula hari khamis pagi sebenarnya, tapi group E & F dikecualikan sbb kitorang ada kelas serving & Hotel Cookery pada hari tu.

Back to the story, I was admitted into Appetizer department where the Chef De Partie ye ar Firdaus Hassim aka Molly. Appetizer hanya disediakan utk 80pax, that is Double VIP dgn Triple VIP sahaja.
disebabkan ktorang tak masuk mise-en-place hari khamis, kitorng terpaksa masuk awal 7 pagi.
lupe pulak nak bgtau, utk appetizer , kitorang kena plate Kebab Daging with Yellow Curry Sauce. Main course, nasi putih, kari kambing, ayam tandoori, acar rampai dgn deep fried dory fish.

Disebabkan kitorang ramai, dlm pkul 3 lepas solat jumaat tu semua dah siap. so pkul 6 kitorang angkat semua barang2 and makanan ke khemah tepi Dewan Aspirasi uhh. Sir Azam kerah kitorang utk susun pinggan siap2 utk plating.

and the best thing is myra diberi kepercayaan oleh Chef De Partie myra utk plating garnishing &  the sauce.  Its an honor guys. utk plating garnishing tu mmg kena sama tinggi, sama tegak ,barulah dipanggil standardize . disebabkan ada orang lain jugak yg tolong plating, myra bertungkus lumus betulkan mana yg x cantik. mak aih, tedious gle keje ni.


I am a perfectionist. myra bukan jenis org yg suka buat kerja aci redah jek. yelah kan, hasil kerja kita. kalau boleh mestilah nak yang terbaik kan? so tadaaaaaaaa!!! ni lah hasil kerja myra dan jugak ahli department appetizer yg lain :)

ok. muke penat so mmg serabai gila time ni. but smile is the best make up a girl can wear :)


alhamdulillah, semua berjln lncar. kitorang habis awal. so dpt dduk tmpt vip kat bhgian atas DA tuhh. apa lagi, kitorang buat gego dewan uhh dgn sorak DCA! DCA! DCA! huhu,




lepas semua makanan dah keluar. kitorang masuk hotel balik utk cleaning semua kitchen yg kitorang guna utk masak. memang penat gila, tapi takkan nak tinggal kitchen cm tu jek. bayangkan lah dah pukul 2 pagi kitorang tak balik lagi. kalau ckupkan sampai pkul 7 pagi, dah dekat 24 jam kitorang kt kitchen. huuu, phenad weyhh.


and laaaast skali, of course lh sesi bergmbar kan? ni lah kami yg bertungkus lumus msak utk dinner d'hoteliers kali ni plus few ppl yg tgh amek gmba. heee. syg korang, keluarga besar DCA :)
